#BACK2SPORT
Here at Target, we’re family driven. Whilst the Covid-19 epidemic has led to a variety of realizations, one thing has become crystal clear to us. It’s a tough time to be both a parent and a kid!
Families across Australia have been struggling with the dual force of remote learning and working from home; at times it feels impossible to keep ourselves and our kids productive. Over this 2-year period, we’ve collected and processed copious amounts of data, trying to figure out how we can help families around our sunburnt country.
We’ve noticed that while physical activity has increased amongst teens and adults alike, it has seen a decrease in kids and tweens aged 7-16. This has been directly linked to the inability to attend school physically, and experience the blissful joys of recess, lunch, and sport lessons.
To combat this decrease Target is launching #BACK2SPORT, a campaign aimed at rekindling physical activity amongst our kids. Our new range of kids activewear will be coming to Target stores all around Australia. But that’s not all. To hit the ground running we’ll be launching weekly sport carnivals all around Australia, there’s various prizes to be won, and much fun to be had. All ticket sales will also be donated to ‘TLC for Kids’, a charity whose goals we believe align perfectly with Targets.
That’s not all though, to further inspire physical activity amongst our kids we’ve partnered with the game developer NIANTICÒ to create the kids exercise app
